What Is Compostable? 
Food waste and food-soiled paper are called organic waste because they are compostable. Organic waste should be discarded in the Blue Bag Organics system. It includes:

Spoiled leftovers		Paper cups and plates
Meat and meat bones		Paper towels and napkins
Poultry and poultry bones		Waxed paper and parchment paper
Vegetable scraps		Wax-coated paperboard packaging and containers
Fruit scraps		Milk, juice and soup cartons (plastic spout removed)
Egg and nutshells		Refrigerated foods
Fruit stones		Frozen foods
Coffee grounds and filters		Takeout and to-go containers (not styrofoam; metal handle removed)
Tea leaves and tea bags		Pizza boxes
Butter and margarine wrappers		Dairy products
