What Is Not Compostable? 
These items should not go into your kitchen organics bin or Blue Bag Organics liner. They do not compost:

Twist ties		Styrofoam
Aluminum foil		Personal sanitary products
Foil-lined cartons, containers or packaging		Diapers or wipes
Cooking oils, fats, or grease		Pet droppings or kitty litter
Yard waste (grass clippings, flowers, leaves, brush, or branches)		Glass or metal
Staples		Recyclable paper or paperboard
Plastics		Clothes
Rocks or bricks		Cigarette butts
